Cabo Delgado Parks (CD Parks) is a Public Private Partnership between MozParks Holding and the Cabo Delgado Province Executive Council (via the CPDECD – Promoção de Desenvolvimento Econômico de Cabo Delgado) that will form a hub for industrial and social development in the province. CD Parks is a network of industrial parks in the Montepuez, Balama, Ancuabe and Palma districts, and a logistics base in Pemba. This network, operated by MozParks, is designed to deliver three key objectives: to accelerate economic development, to promote and boost youth employment, and to develop the green economy.

The network consists of two main Hubs, located in Afungi and Pemba, linked to CD Parks throughout the province. Support is given to allow local agribusinesses to meet the international standards demanded by the larger companies operating in the Afungi and Pemba Parks.

Environmentally-responsible economic growth
The mission of CD Parks is to be a driver for sustainable, environmentally-responsible economic growth in a way that creates opportunities for young people and local providers. The agro-industrial parks within the CD Parks network attract businesses and investors by offering infrastructure and services alongside programmes designed to upskill the local workforce. The network consists of two main Hubs, located in Afungi and Pemba, linked to CD Parks throughout the province. Support is given to allow local agribusinesses to meet the international standards demanded by the larger companies operating in the Afungi and Pemba Parks.
In its first phase the parks occupy 140 hectares, with this area being divided across 5 sites located in Afungi, Pemba, Montepuez, Ancuabe and Balama. 12 additional districts will be established during the second phase, with growth of up to 840 hectares projected. CD Parks will eventually be active in all 23 districts of Cabo Delgado.
