At the beginning of June, the City of Pemba hosted the 2nd Session of the Consultative Committee of the Northern Mozambique Urban Development Project (PDUNM).
According to the statement from the Ministry of Public Works, Housing and Water Resources, the 2nd Session aimed to evaluate the progress made and challenges faced, as well as to look at actions for the next twelve months.
“At the end of the 2nd Session of the Consultative Committee, participants visited the works of the Small Water Supply System (PSAA) in the neighborhood of Mahate, in the City of Pemba, as well as witnessed the symbolic delivery of IT equipment to the municipalities covered by the project” , the statement indicated.
PDNUM is a strategic project implemented by the Government of Mozambique with the support of the World Bank whose objective is to improve access to urban infrastructure and living conditions in four selected cities in the North of Mozambique, namely Nampula, Nacala, Pemba and Montepuez.
