In Cabo Delgado Province, 106,350 jobs were created across the public and private sectors during the nearly concluded 2020-2024 five-year term. This information was disclosed on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, in the city of Pemba by Provincial Governor Valige Tauabo during the IV Graduation Ceremony for interns under the Mozyouth project.
The governor further highlighted that during the same period, 1,848 young people were placed in pre-professional internships, both paid and unpaid, achieving satisfactory employability rates.
To further expand youth employment opportunities, 90 interns graduated at the ceremony.
The Provincial Governor challenged the Mozyouth Foundation, TotalEnergies, and CD Parks to continue organizing graduation events in the northern districts of the province.
“It is urgent to support the return of populations and businesses by scaling up employment opportunities in these districts,” emphasized the head of the provincial government.
