CD Parks promotes the role of local companies and works with service providers to build a strong platform for supplying international oil and gas companies operating in this Area.
Cabo Delgado Province has around 5.6 million hectares of arable land, of which around 1 million hectares are currently in use. The Province produces 2.8 million tonnes of food crops and 93000 tonnes of cash crops each year.
There is a strong opportunity for local farmers and producers to service the businesses investing in the province’s natural resources. Strengthening the agriculture value chain is an integral part of the CD Parks model. Logistical support and market access will increase smallholders’ incomes and boost growth in rural regions.
