The Cabo Delgado Provincial Executive Council approved on Wednesday, 5 August, the province’s participation strategy for the 61st edition of the Maputo International Trade Fair (FACIM 2026), to be held from 31 August to 6 September in Marracuene, aimed at promoting the province’s potential and continuing to attract investment.
Cabo Delgado will participate in FACIM under the theme “Sharing Investment Opportunities to Accelerate Agribusiness and Industrialisation”, with a focus on promoting products, services and business opportunities, as well as establishing partnerships to drive the province’s development, Provincial Director of Industry and Trade Alson Banze said when presenting the strategy.
Cabo Delgado Governor Valige Tauabo directed that local businesspeople should be prioritised in the provincial delegation and called for a strong presence that would position Cabo Delgado among the main highlights of FACIM 2026, while also strengthening economic cooperation between the country’s northern provinces.
