As part of its efforts to foster an environment of growth and collaboration, on July 10th, MozParks welcomed a delegation from ENI at Beluluane Industrial Park (BIP). The visit of Marica Calabrese, Managing Director of ENI Rovuma Basin, along with Ivan Codognotto (Technical Director) and Ivete Arao (External Relations Manager) underscored the strong relationship between MozParks and ENI.
The delegation, hosted by MozParks’ General Manager, Onorio Manuel, toured the facilities and engaged with several of park’s tenants, including ETG Steel Solution, Bosch Rexroth, Dendustri, and Duys Moçambique. These companies exemplify the advanced industrialization model of MozParks, which not only fosters development but also generates significant employment opportunities and promotes circular economies within the community.
Calabrese was thoroughly impressed by the innovative efforts of MozParks in driving sustainable industrial growth. She highlighted ENI’s commitment to leveraging their suppliers to support and promote the Cabo Delgado region. This commitment is particularly poignant as it reflects the success story of Beluluane Park, which stands as a beacon of industrial excellence and community impact.
Cabo Delgado Parks Initiative
At the Investment Round Table in Maputo organized by Cabo Delgado Province in May, Onorio Manuel presented the model and advantages of Cabo Delgado Parks, a network of industrial parks in the Montepuez, Balama, Ancuabe, and Palma districts, along with a logistics base in Pemba. This network, operated by MozParks, aims to accelerate economic development, promote youth employment, and develop the green economy.
The event saw participation from representatives of multinational companies operating in Cabo Delgado, including Twigg Exploration and Mining, ExxonMobil, TotalEnergies Mozambique, and ENI Rovuma Basin. All expressed their support and commitment to shaping Mozambique’s economic landscape by providing job opportunities and training to local communities to drive economic growth in the northern part of the country.
Fostering Collaboration for Sustainable Development
Calabrese’s visit reaffirmed ENI’s commitment to this initiative.
The directors of ETG Steel Solution, Bosch Rexroth, Dendustri, and Duys Moçambique seized the opportunity to showcase their capabilities and readiness to engage in LNG projects, further emphasizing the collaborative spirit that MozParks nurtures.
MozParks remains committed to fostering an environment of growth, innovation, and collaboration, with the support of ENI and other multinational companies.
